Meditation for Self-Love

We often hear of the expression self-love and many of us have different interpretations of what it actually means. I know over the years, it has become a term people are more attuned into yet I have also noticed it isn’t something people are very good at. No insult intended. It is more that we are used to seeing ourselves more with what is wrong with us, disgust as we gaze upon our reflection, we see our problems and our stress. All of which, shuts down loving feelings for self.

I spent the month of February, in The Curious Club exploring self-love and I may be biased (yes I am biased!) but it has been a beautiful experience to bathe in those feelings of love rather than hurts. I honestly can feel a shift within my being without any external situations changing and that is what I feel to be most potent when we work with self-love – we CAN be loving to self despite what is going on. Which can be quite a shift for those of us who wait to feel love once the external circumstances change or someone can validate us by saying they love who we are. This is a tricky situation if you are in a relationship which isn’t working, are single, or in circumstances which will take time to resolve.

Which goes back to the joy of self-love, as it needs no-one but you and you are always with you.

Within The Curious Club I lead a weekly 15 minute meditation, as meditation can give you a sense of calm and peace to benefit your emotional wellbeing, which can last throughout the day, and I would love to share one of the meditations I recently taught:

A Meditation for Creating Self-Love

.

This ‘Creating Self-Love’ Meditation is a beautifully hypnotic meditation, where you turn your love of something into love for self, to bless yourself and act as a conduit as you send love out and into the world. It is worth noting in the meditation how we have to send love to us first before we send it out to others.

Enjoy with love 💝
