Raw Chocolate Orange Torte Recipe

A rich decadent dessert recipe for impressing all your friends with a delicious healthy chocolate pudding. So easy to make.
(Gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, soy free, vegan)


2 cups almonds

4 medjool dates

1 tbsp cacao nibs

2 avocados

1/2 cup raw cacao butter

Honey – about 3tbsp but add more or less to suit your sweet tooth

Juice from 2 oranges

1 cup raw cacao powder


In a food processor, process the almonds, pitted dates and cacao nibs

Melt the raw cacao butter by grating and adding to a dish above boiling water and place over another dish filled with boiling water (bain-marie). You do not need to keep the water boiling as the heat will warm the bowl enough to melt the butter.  Alternatively you can melt the butter by placing in a dehydrator at 42oC until melted.

Place the above mixture into a flan dish and press down firmly to form base (about 5mm thick)

Blend the remaining ingredients

Pile on top of the crust mixture

Leave to set in the fridge

Decorate as desired eg: fresh berries or orange zest
